Founding AI Engineer

Winnipeg, MB · async-friendly · in-office 2 days/week

Ship production LLM and agentic systems on GCP. Vertex AI, Gemini, Cloud Run, BigQuery. You own the eval harness, the prod runtime, and the on-call.

Must have

  • 5+ years shipping production code, ideally in regulated industries
  • Hands-on with Vertex AI / OpenAI / Anthropic at scale
  • Strong on evals, observability, and incident response

Nice to have

  • Compiler, distributed systems, or formal-methods background
  • Cross-border payments, AML, or KYC experience
  • Open-source contributions in the LLM ops space

founding-compliance-engineer.ts

Founding Compliance Engineer

Winnipeg, MB or remote with quarterly visits

Translate compliance policy into machine-evaluable rules. Read regulator letters; ship code. Sit between AML/SME, product, and engineering.

Must have

  • AML/CFT, KYC, or sanctions-screening operations experience
  • Comfortable in code (Python or TypeScript) for prototyping rules
  • Patience for ambiguity in regulatory text

Nice to have

  • FINTRAC, FinCEN, or FCA experience
  • Background at a regulated payment processor or MSB
  • Stablecoin / digital-asset compliance familiarity

Founding Product Engineer

Winnipeg, MB or remote within Canada

Design and ship the product surfaces customers see. Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, shadcn. Tight loop with AI Engineer and design partners.

Must have

  • 5+ years shipping product front-ends in production
  • Care about taste, motion, and accessibility in equal measure
  • Comfortable owning a feature end-to-end including the API

Nice to have

  • Design-engineer hybrid background
  • Built dashboards or analytical UI at scale
  • Have launched a product solo
