MRA AI Studio builds products that are routinely deployed in regulated cross-border environments. We hold ourselves to industry-standard anti-money-laundering (AML), counter-terrorist-financing (CFT), and sanctions-screening practices in our own operations, and we design our products to make those practices easier for our customers.
This page describes that stance. It is not a substitute for the legal controls operated by our customers, and it is not a representation that MRA itself is a money-services business or financial institution.
1. Our own operations
- We screen counterparties (customers, vendors, contractors) against consolidated sanctions lists at onboarding and on a periodic basis.
- We maintain written internal policies covering know-your-customer checks, sanctions screening, and escalation paths for suspicious activity.
- Our team receives training appropriate to their role on AML/CFT and sanctions risk.
- We do not knowingly engage with parties on consolidated sanctions lists or with parties whose source of funds we cannot reasonably establish.
2. How our products help customers
The MRA RegTech Cloud product is designed to support regulated customers in operating their own AML / KYC / sanctions controls. Among other things it provides:
- Document understanding for KYC and trade-document workflows.
- Embedding-based fuzzy matching against major sanctions lists.
- Real-time and batch transaction risk scoring.
- Append-only evidence logs that preserve the lineage of every decision.
- Configurable human-in-the-loop checkpoints and four-eyes review.
Customers remain responsible for the design, calibration, and operation of their own compliance program, including filing any reports required by applicable law.
3. What this page does NOT claim
- This page does not constitute, and is not intended to substitute for, legal or regulatory advice.
- This page does not represent that MRA holds any specific licence; licensing where required for a customer use case is the customer’s responsibility.
- This page is not a guarantee that any model output will be free of false positives or false negatives.
4. Reporting concerns
If you have reason to believe that an MRA service is being used in a way inconsistent with this stance, please email alex.z@mragency.ca. We review every report and will respond within 5 business days.
5. Changes
We will update this page as our practices evolve. Material changes will be announced in the footer for 30 days.
